This page covers the Essence classic dining room, a collection that joined past experience with new trends. It explains how to mix pieces from two current classic collections at one table, using a hand-carved cherry table, Opera chairs and a carved sideboard with drawers for table linen.
Mixing two classic collections at one table
Two classic collections mix well when they share the same decoration and a close palette. Gran Guardia and Opera, both by Francesco Pasi, share gold leaf or silver leaf decoration, so a table from one and chairs from the other sit together. Essence took a similar line, joining a melting-pot of materials to new trends. The Gran Guardia Dining Table 2004 is carved entirely by hand in solid cherry. See the full italian dining table set range for other pairings.
Opera chairs and a sideboard
The Opera Dining Chair 3012 by Francesco Pasi has carving finished by hand and a seat in fabric of category A, B or C. Its finishes run from Luxury White to 100 Gloss Ebony. To match, the Opera Shaped Sideboard by Francesco Pasi, with carved "B" decoration, two doors and three drawers, stands on 80 mm solid wood uprights. Other seats appear among our luxury dining chairs.
Fitting the sideboard to the wall
The carved Opera sideboard measures H 106 x W 210.5 x D 54 cm, so it needs a long, clear wall. Allow space in front to open its two doors and three drawers. Its top is 29 mm cherry blockboard, and its doors and drawers are solid wood, 28 mm. Place it on the wall facing the entrance, where the carving is seen first.
